Recently, Peter Christy of 451 Research has written a thought-provoking series of reports on the Software Defined Internet (requires login). His thesis is that there are new technologies available today that can solve fundamental internet performance and security issues:
What if you could fix many of the vexing problems of the internet without rebuilding it from the bare metal up? Looks like that might be possible with modern ‘software defined’ architectures applied to the internet to create virtual versions, and still use the existing internet for data transport.
On Friday, December 2 at noon at the Four Seasons Palo Alto, Peter Christy will lead a luncheon roundtable to discuss the Software Defined Internet. Peter will be joined by Teridion founder and CTO, Elad Rave.
- Where: Four Seasons, 2050 University Ave, East Palo Alto
- 12 – 1:30 pm, Software Defined Internet roundtable;
- 1:30 – 3 pm Teridion 1.5 analytics portal demo & training session
- RSVP: to attend, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
