Teridion accelerates traffic from an end user to an origin server by using DNS to resolve end user requests through a Teridion Virtual Network. Each Teridion Virtual Network carries traffic only for a particular url, so Teridion charges a monthly fee per Virtual Network and an additional fee per GB of traffic delivered.
How is Teridion delivered?
Teridion is delivered as a service – there is no hardware or software to install or configure. Teridion is completely transparent for end users and requires only a CNAME change to turn on for a web app.
How long does it take to go live with a Teridion Virtual Network?
A Teridion Virtual Network can be created via an api in less than 15 minutes. On-boarding a new customer can usually be completed in a few weeks. Onboarding a web application to use the Teridion Virtual Network involves three basic steps:
Redirect DNS: Create a CNAME record to redirect the origin URL to the Teridion Virtual Network.
Whitelist TCRs: Ensure that the origin firewall whitelists TCR IPs.
Forward IPs: Use the load balancer proxy protocol to pass client IP addresses from the Teridion Virtual Network to the origin server.
